I FINALLY had an MRI on my foot. Now I have to wait for the results. I will see my podiatrist next Thursday, and all hopes are that this is something easily fixable. I’m tired of being in pain and being unable to walk, much less run without “yikes, that HURTS.” Limping and being so gimpy is Not Fun. So, moving forward Slowly on that front.
Everything else is sort of… on hold still. I went ahead and entered us in the “Thanksgiving Cluster” up at the Big E. It runs from the Friday after Thanksgiving until the following Monday. Tripp and I are only entered for Friday and Saturday, Novice Standard Agility and Novice Jumpers Agility. That’s four classes I’ll need to run in. It’s called a cluster, because not only is there an agility trial, there are also: Rally, Obedience, and Breed classes. There used to be a lot of vendors as well, so we’ll see how that goes in our post-pandemic world!
Trippy got a major fur-mination two weeks ago, and I got so much fur off of him that people at the trial thought he’d lost weight! I’ve been trying to keep up on the grooming and I’m not getting any where near the amount of fur I was getting before.
More on the pups…
Piper is limping pretty badly. We’re scheduled to see the vet next week, so we’ll see what’s up with that. After everything we went through at Tufts, I would have thought her shoulders would be good for a couple of years, not less than one! Poor baby, but she’s still a happy girl, has all her marbles, so that’s good.
Tyson is doing very well, snuggled up against me as I type. He still goes to Family Dog III and loves it. Then he has Scent Class, which he really loves and is getting very good not only at finding the source, but letting me know. He’s really starting to “work” the scent areas and alerting me. Thursdays are his days as he has both his classes then. I put a harness on him for scent class and he knows once the harness goes on, it’s work time. He just loves it.
As for Blackie, he’s doing great. Sometimes he even plays with Tyson. He’s amazing. He sleeps with me most nights, along with Tripp. When we’re in the den, watching TV, he’s usually up on the top of the love seat, sometimes behind me, sometimes on my lap. He’s just a wonderful cat.
Well, that’s about all. Thankful to be here with my fur babies. Have a great one and thanks for reading!
