Piper Poem 3

“Hyper Piper of Haven,” that’s my name

I’m “Yellow Dog,” playing catch, my game.

But I am not a bad dog, nope, no more.

I am a good dog right down to my core.

I got a cee gee cee

from the aay kay cee

Did the deeds,  passed the test

Proved that I am the best

Oh yes!

I am not a bad dog, oh no

I’ve come a long way you know.

Scat mats, mice traps,

Horse fencing and shock collars

I was a bad dog, among the worst

I needed love, but discipline came first

I grew up, matured, stopped being a brat

Became big sister and best friends with the cat

I play with my toys and sniff everything

Love my sister Trixie, and when my Mom sings

I wag my tail and it hits stuff HARD

Luckily I haven’t made anything into shards. . .

(Not since I chewed Momma’s Breathing guard).

I may not always stay in the yard,

But when I’m called, I’m faster than a Packard.

I am not a bad dog, oh no

I’ve come a long way you know.

After the test they loved me much

Said I could do anything, any such

Agility, Obedience, Rally-o or Therapy

I’m not sure what else I wanna be

It’s just important to be Momma’s girl,

Trixie’s sister, Blackie’s blond pearl.

I am not a bad dog, oh no

I’ve come a long way you know.

I might be a Chinook, or just a mutt

I’m Piper, Yellow Dog, Little Haven’s Pup.
